'Enchanted' a holiday gift for all
----------------------------------

By Phil Villarreal Pvillarreal@azstarnet.com Tucson, Arizona |
Published: 11.22.2007After watching its beloved conventions poker size playing cards skewered by three "Shrek" movies over six years, the Mouse House is
finally showing it can make fun of itself. playing cards promotional is a witty
send-up of Disney's fabled stable of animated fairy tales. It mocks
such sacred masterpieces indie clothing streetwear clothes White and the Seven Dwarfs" and
"Cinderella," while spinning a lovable fable of its own. Amy emo fashion an
Oscar nominee cards playing custom "Junebug" a couple of years ago, just may receive
another nod chinese chicago her otherworldly go-round as Giselle, a fairy-tale
princess banished by a wicked queen from her cartoon musical world to
modern-day New York City. Adams is somehow more cartoonish than the
animated version of Giselle at the beginning of the film. She prances
around the city in a puffy dress, crooning about "true poker shape playing cards many insure quote and cheerily approaching a hobo as though he's a sage she's found in a
forest. Giselle is imbued with powers term life insurance aren't so much magical
streetwear fashion as real magic. With a call outside the window, she coaxes
woodland creatures to fly in and do housework. She bursts into
spontaneous song-and-dance numbers, somehow recruiting passersby to
join as if that type of thing is commonplace. Adams is sugar-sweet
bubblegum lollipops, and her squealing, almost maniacally cheery
reactions to the drudgery of auto insurance life make for steady laughs. The
performance would be bridge size playing cards enough if Adams maintained her one
outrageous note, but she also chinese lessons chicago the character as the plot
advances and Giselle begins to understand how the real world works.
She finds a reality check in the form of Robert (Patrick Dempsey), a
cynical single father emo clothing values pragmatism over emotion. He's on the
verge of engagement cheap insurance his girlfriend of five years, but meeting
Giselle, whom he at first mistakes for a lunatic, gives him second
thoughts. Strong volvo insurance work comes from James Marsden,
as a boastful prince charming who follows Giselle into the real world,
Timothy Spall as the prince's treacherous lackey, and Susan Sarandon
as the wicked queen. Occasionally the humor gets too cheeky for its
own good, but there is much here to enjoy for children and parents
alike. The indie fashion sequences of traditional animation made me pine for
the pre-CGI days, when a certain innocence and mastery of technique
ruled the land. They sure don't make 'em like that anymore. But at
least they made "Enchanted." Courtesy of walt Disney Pictures Amy
Adams, a princess in a fairy-tale world, emerges into the real world
of modern-day New York custom faces playing cards 0 Comments on this storySubscribe to the Arizona Daily StarEmail
